Ignacio Martínez

Ignacio Martínez nació en Montevideo. Tiene una extensa y prolífica trayectoria literaria. Asumió el desafío de escribir esta historia con el riguroso respeto por los hechos y la natural ternura característica de su prosa. Es ng>autor de más de noventa títulos para niños y jóvenes, catorce para adultos y decenas de obras de teatro. Ha recibido importantes reconocimientos literarios en Uruguay y en el exterior. Hoy es un referente ineludible de la literatura infantil y juvenil del Río de la Plata.

Ignacio Martínez was born in Montevideo. He has an extensive and prolific literary career. He took on the challenge of writing this story with rigorous respect for the facts and the natural tenderness characteristic of his prose. He is the author of more than ninety titles for children and young readers, fourteen for adults, and dozens of plays. He has received important literary awards in Uruguay and abroad. Today, he is an essential figure in children's and young adult literature in the Río de la Plata region.
