India Sm WilliamsIndia Williams's calling is to uplift people by motivating them to see their true potential to achieve their dreams. India was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and grew up in Saginaw, Michigan. She came from a tight-knit family where she always fet loved by both her parents, Dennis and Coleta Dickerson, and her extended family. With her family's support and encouragement after her father's passing, India made it through college and completed her education. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina. She went on to complete her Masters in Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she attended on a full-ride academic scholarship. India's life, though she was loved, was not without pain. She suffered through abuse, miscarriage, and broken relationships, but she remained strong and survived it all with Christ's help. India learned early on that writing was a way to heal and it helped her cope with all the pain. Her inaugural book of poetry, Love, Pain, and God's Grace was released in September 2018, making her the first in her family to become a published author. India currently holds a dual role as the Therapeutic Foster Care Director of Program Operations/Fostering Solution Program Specialist at Pinnacle Family Services. She enjoys conducting trainings to assist in diffusing stressful situation while proactively resolving issues to meet and achieve challenging goals and objectives for career opportunities. Her passion is to touch others by giving them the tools they need to move forward. In her spare time India volunteers and gives back to the community through various organizations, including her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. She enjoys family gatherings, open mic events, roller skating, singing, music, cooking, fishing, traveling, attending church, spreading the gospel, and writing.
