Ioannis PantelidisProfessor Ioannis S. Pantelidis is Deputy Dean at LGCHT and Professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management, with extensive leadership experience across the UK and European higher education. He has previously led the Department of Hospitality and Touism Management at Ulster Business School and has held a range of senior strategic roles across higher education, including Director of Help to Grow, Lead Academic for Knowledge Exchange, and Director of Doctoral Studies at Brighton Doctoral College. His leadership portfolio spans academic governance, doctoral education, widening participation, external engagement, and institutional development, and he has served on numerous international advisory and executive boards. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Certified Management and Business Educator, Fellow of the International Hospitality Institute, and a member of the Council for Hospitality Management Education. He currently sits on the Advisory Board of Be Inclusive Hospitality, and he has served on the Executive Boards of the Institute of Hospitality, Tourism Concern, and Cavendish Academy, and is a Past Chair of the Council for Hospitality Management Education and Past Director of the Association of North America Higher Education International. An internationally recognised scholar, Professor Pantelidis is a member of the editorial boards of several leading journals and has served in the past as Editor-in-Chief of Tourism and Hospitality Research (SAGE), and as Hospitality Editor of the Journal of Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism Education. His publications include REEF: Transformational Leadership, the Routledge Handbook of Hospitality Management, and multiple editions of Food and Beverage Management published by Taylor & Francis. Alongside academic publishing, he actively disseminates research and practice-based insights through professional and doctoral-focused video content. Earlier in his academic career, he held senior roles at London Metropolitan University and the University of Surrey, following extensive industry experience in hotel and restaurant management across Europe and as a manager of a London-based tour operator. He is currently a Visiting Professor at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences, an external evaluator for professorial promotions at the University of Patras, and has served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Granada.
