J A AlexanderThe author has a bachelor of science degree in Biology from Southern Methodist University (SMU), an M.D. degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and three years of postgraduate training - Internship and Residency. He was Boar Certified and practiced Medicine for over thirty years, serving as a Hospital Chief of Staff of one hospital and on multiple Hospital Committees at another. He was the Project Leader for several programs analyzing old systems and developing new systems to improve quality, decrease cost, and improve efficiency for a large multispecialty medical group. He was a Volunteer Faculty Member for two medical schools training medical students and residents, as well as nurse practitioners.He served his community as the high school team physician for football, was elected to four county boards, and was on the board of directors for two nonprofits; one for hospice care and one for environmental preservation.He is married and has two adult children with his wife of almost fifty years and one grandchild.
