J a NeameJ. A. Neame was born at home in the year 1955 in a small village in England. She attended a church of England Primary School, later going on to a Comprehensive Secondary School for girls. She worked as a pre-school teacher where she studied level 3 dploma in pre-school practice, also achieving B+ in special educational needs at which she studied basic child psychology.
