J Leigh JacksonJ. Leigh Jackson finds her niche in the romantic suspense category. In her debut novel, Dark Wings, she draws inspiration from her Southern roots, which she seamlessly weaves together with her military experiences-thanks to her husband's former caree as an intelligence pilot. She followed this novel with two other standalone suspense thrillers-Blood Secrets and Winter's Edge. At the behest of readers, she decided to make the Dark Wings story into a series, starring the main character, Porter Leighton. Hence, the ideas for Dark Signals and Dark Visions were born. She holds a bachelor's in English with a minor in journalism, as well as a master's in communication. She has taught undergraduate courses in business and professional writing.
