J. A. Abbe Dubois
J. A. Abbé Dubois (Jean-Antoine Dubois, 1765–1848) was a French Catholic missionary and Indologist, best known for his influential ethnographic work Hindu Manners, Customs and Ceremonies (1816). His writings remain a cornerstone of early European cholarship on Indian society and religion.
