Jacques Futrelle
Jacques Futrelle (1875-1912) was an American author and journalist known for his mystery and detective fiction. He created the popular character Professor Augustus S. F. X. Van Dusen, also known as The Thinking Machine, who featured in many of hisworks. Futrelle's writing style combined intricate plots with intellectual puzzles, captivating readers with his clever storytelling. Tragically, Futrelle lost his life in the sinking of the RMS Titanic, leaving behind a legacy of innovative mystery literature.
