James E GrahamThe Graham family's sense of humor, imagination, insight and tenacity all combine to make the South Hill Rascals fun to read. Note that after crossing the Delaware (Fentress Lake) the author as George Washington and his Blue Coats were photographed ater having taken the defeated but defiant British Red Coats prisoner, proving Once a Rascal Always a Rascal. Hopefully the South Hill Rascals will also inspire the readers to do their best to make the world that they live in a better place. Some who read the South Hill Rascals may hesitate to believe that these family and professional stories of an Irish-German family growing up in Dubuque, Iowa on Grandpa's farm, the Mississippi River and then the author professionally in Ames, Iowa are true. My brother Tom's memory may also, for face saving purposes, be somewhat lacking. Even so, it really did happen just as it was written.
