James KahDr James Kah received his B.Eng. with first class honours in Electrical Engineering and subsequently completed his Ph.D. both from National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to joining the faculty at NUS, James was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Deprtment of Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and had previously taught in Temasek Polytechnic as a Lecturer. He is currently a Principal Investigator in the Nanomedicine & Nanorobotics Laboratory at NUS. James has been working on biomedical applications of gold nanoparticles for the past 12 years. His current research interests focus on understanding the nano-bio interface and developing nanodevices with smart interface strategies to effectively probe and modulate biological processes for diagnostic and therapeutic applications.
