He is the author of The Skeptical Sublime: Aesthetic Ideology in Pope and the Tory Satirists and The Temporality of Taste in Eighteenth-Century British Writing, and is completing a book called Unfelt Affect: Insensible Movements in Eighteenth-Century Literature.
