James ProctorJames Proctor has been with Rough Guides since 1995 and is the company's original Nanook of the North. Co-author of the Rough Guides to Iceland, Sweden and Finland, James has also written the only English-language guides to the Faroe Islands and Laplnd. One of his more obscure talents is speaking several Nordic languages - something which never fails to impress and bemuse most Icelanders (and most other people) he meets.
