Janet ChelliahJanet Chelliah is a mother, wife and Medical Doctor. Janet is a Sheffield General Practitioner. Janet was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She left Malaysia in 1988 to start her medical degree in Australia. She completed her degree in 1993 and startedto work for the NHS as a junior doctor in Aberdeen the year after. It was during this time that she met her husband, Neil. Kirsty, her oldest daughter, has Down Syndrome. Kirsty was approaching her mid-teenage years when she was stricken with leukaemia. Janet's first book is about Kirsty and her journey through having a disability and cancer. This book was written to help other families going through the same journey. Janet is also the author of the blog 'Listen to My Thoughts' and she continues to work as a General Practitioner.
