Janice Marie AlexanderJanice Alexander was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She spent many years cooking French and Cajun cuisine and traveled often to dine at many of the restaurants throughout Louisiana that were famous then, while many of them still are today Some have now closed as a result of the owners passing away like the Oxbow that Janice says had incredibly delicious seafood. She has traveled abroad and to many different parts of the United States learning about a wide variety of fine cuisine, wholefoods and comfort foods and what ingredients make each of them so delicious. She attended Louisiana State University and later graduated from Liberty University. Janice went to graduate school at Regis University in Denver. Janice began her career working as a public relations photographer for the famous Brennan's Restaurants in the French Quarter of New Orleans for years and learned how the best chefs in the world cook their sumptuous dishes because she spent time watching them cook. She also worked in the resort industry as a Director of Sales and Marketing where she managed well-known resorts that had multiple restaurants and bars. She developed menus for these restaurants and brought back popular vintage cocktails to the bars, which were all very successful with the guests. She is also the author of the book Princess Panny Not Princess Nobody that is entitled with her nickname: "Panny." She is also a nationally published - award winning artist. She has two adult sons, Dane and Brian Vaughn, that she lives with in Los Angeles, California.
