Jay HahnkampJay Hahnkamp is a Montana native, born in Butte, Montana, in 1963. He was raised on the banks of the Big Hole River where he still lives with his wife and two boys. Jay graduated with a degree in agricultural education from Montana State University ad uses his life experiences with work and family to write his books. Jay's book My Pony Bucks... My dad says so! won a Will Rogers Gold Medallion Award for 2015 Illustrated Western Fiction for Young Readers. Jay's life experience on his Montana ranch has inspired this book as well.
