Jeffrey KurebwaDr Jeffrey Kurebwa is a Senior Lecturer and Chairperson in the Department of Peace and Governance at Bindura University of Science Education, Bindura, Zimbabwe. He holds a PhD in Public Administration from Nelson Mandela University, South Africa; a Mster of Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Administration Degree from the University of Zimbabwe. Jeffrey Kurebwa teaches undergraduate, master, and Doctoral level courses in Gender, Peace and Security, Local Governance, Research Methods, and Public Policy and Management. Jeffrey has over 90 publications including books, book chapters, and peer-reviewed journal articles. Jeffrey is editing a book on Mental Health Challenges in Academia: Stressors Faced by Students and Faculty to be published by IGI-GLOBAL Publishers (2026). Kurebwa has edited three books on Managing the Health Risks of Climate Change (2025), Understanding Gender in the African Context (2020), and Participation of Young People in Governance Processes in Africa (2019) published by IGI-GLOBAL Publishers. Dr. Kurebwa has mentored and guided a cohort of undergraduate and graduate students in their research, fostering professional development. He has examined dissertations and theses for Africa University, Women’s University in Africa, Zimbabwe Open University, Bindura University of Science Education, Africa Leadership Management Academy (ALMA), (Zimbabwe), Durban University of Technology, University of Kwazulu Natal, University of the Free State, and Cape Peninsula University of Technology (South Africa), and University of Namibia. Jeffrey is a part-time Lecturer at ALMA an affiliate of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Graduate Business School (Zimbabwe) where he teaches Management Theory and Practice, and Strategic Management. He was a part-time Lecturer for the Peace Building and Post Conflict Recovery course for the PhD programme in the College of Business, Peace, Leadership and Governance at Africa University, Zimbabwe (2021). Dr Kurebwa is a Programme Peer Reviewer for the Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE). Kurebwa has peer-reviewed programmes for Women’s University in Africa, Zimbabwe Open University, University of Zimbabwe, Arrupe Jesuit University, Great Zimbabwe University, and Midlands State University. Dr Kurebwa has done consultancy work for UN Women, the National AIDS Council (NAC), and the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission (NPRC). Jeffrey is a Research Fellow with the Institute for Research and Policy Integration in Africa (IRPIA). He completed the Climate Governance, Diplomacy and Negotiations Leadership Program facilitated by The African Group of Negotiators Experts Support (AGNES) held from 06 May 2024 to 12 July 2024.
