His areas of expertise include biblical studies, the use of scripture in ethics, Jewish-Christian relations, and sexual thics. Professor Siker is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church, USA. Among his previously published books are Homosexuality in the Church: Both Sides of the Debate (1994) and Scripture and Ethics: 20th Century Portraits (1997).
