Jem HughesJem T. Hughes was born and raised in the South Bronx, NY. She holds a masters of arts degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in NYC. She was an elementary teacher and now a school administrator, and writing a children's book has always bee a dream of hers. She is very proud of the rich urban culture that NYC has to offer, especially the NYC subway.
