Jessy SiongersJessy Siongers, Dr., is affiliated to the Department of Sociology at Ghent University and at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She is coordinator of the Knowledge Centre on Cultural and Media Participation and supervisor of the Youth Research Platform;both are interdisciplinary and interuniversity consortiums. Jessy Siongers is also a member of the European Network of Observatories in the Field of Arts and Cultural Education (ENO). Her main research interests are situated within the domains of cultural sociology, sociology of education and sociology of youth. Within these research domains she has published among others on cultural preferences and values of adolescents, cultural participation, cultural education, values education at school, cultural profi les of teachers, and the socio-economic situation of professional artists.
