Jim And Cindy Powers

Jim And Cindy PowersJim and Cindy Powers live in Greeley, Colorado, where they chose to return so they could be close to family and care for his parents during their later years. Jim works as a Database Administrator for Humane Colorado, the state's largest animal welfae organization, where he is grateful to contribute to a mission that serves animals in need. Outside of work, Jim helps lead a midweek small group Bible study and sings on the worship team at his church, staying rooted in community and faith. Jim was compelled to write after sensing a clear nudge from the Holy Spirit to tell his story, especially after years marked by deep suffering and unanswered questions. Through hardship, he came to see that God was not absent but preparing him and his wife for meaningful work still ahead. Having walked through some of the most difficult seasons a marriage can face, and having remained faithful to one another through it all, Jim writes with honesty, humility, and hope. His deepest desire is that those who are hurting, especially married couples in seasons of suffering, would find encouragement, endurance, and a renewed belief that hope does exist on the other side. After years marked by deep personal suffering, Cindy emerged with a renewed outward focus and a profound compassion for others who are hurting. Her work centers on caring for people experiencing homelessness, a calling that reflects both her lived empathy and her commitment to helping others find dignity, hope, and healing. Cindy's voice in this book is grounded not in theory, but in faith tested through hardship. Together with Jim, she walked through some of the most difficult seasons a marriage can endure, remaining faithful to both God and one another. That shared journey shaped her conviction that suffering does not have the final word, and that healing and restoration are possible, even after long seasons of pain. Cindy hopes that readers, especially those walking through suffering in marriage or life, will encounter this work as a source of hope and reassurance. Her prayer is that others would see that survival can become strength, and that faithfulness through suffering can lead to a life of renewed purpose and care for others. Read More Read Less
