Jim D BradyThe book reflects my failure and then growth as a Christian who studied at a Christian University, was active with Campus Crusade for Christ and studied under some wonderful bible scholars, was in a unique telephone counseling ministry we began calle Christian Helpline and other local ministries as well as my local church. I had all the right teaching and opportunities but failed to catch on to who I was in Christ. I spent all my time dealing with sin and striving rather than understanding my Savior's victory was mine. I finally gave up trying because I kept failing. I decided that others could do it, but I couldn't so I would just wait till I died to be a good Christian. I had my focus on sin and my failure. Not on Jesus' success. Thankfully God is faithful and after years of what was really rebellion I understood the message of love and grace and God opened my mind to TRUTH. I found out the Christian life wasn't performance based but grace based. Jesus lived and He succeeded so I didn't have to. Heaven or hell depends on what I do with Jesus, not my behavior.
