Jim PickeringJim has lived an interesting and varied life. He worked in industrial mechanics for 44 years and retired as a safety professional in the industry. He also served as EMT for over 30 years. Beyond work, for the past 50 years his life has revolved aroun teaching teens and young adults to live their lives as successful Christians. He is a teacher with a drive to communicate important facets of the Christian faith to the world. Along with working with young people, Jim teaches a doctrine class for newcomers at his church. A native of the Beaumont, Texas area, Jim lives in Vidor, Texas. He and his wife Jewel were married in 1967. They have two sons, Jonathan, and Jody, who is married to Shanna Garris. They have one grandchild, Greyson James, and several "extended family members" and "grandchildren" from their church. Jim and Jewel attend Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor, Texas.
