Jing SongJing Song has been an assistant professor at the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, since 2023. She earned her PhD in Natural Geography from Nanjing University in the same year. Her research focuses on environmental geograph, with particular emphasis on the sources, distribution, and ecological impacts of microplastics, especially microplastic fibers. Song has contributed to major projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has published in leading journals including Journal of Hazardous Materials and ACS ES&T Water.
