Jo Ann PerkinsJo Ann Beresford Perkins graduated from Red Bluff High School and attended the University of California at Berkeley, graduating with a degree in Social Welfare. She worked as a Stewardess in Denver, Colorado, for United Air Lines before her marriage o George Perkins. They returned to Mineral, operating Lassen Park Ski Area and the Mineral Lodge with her family until 1980. Moving to Red Bluff as a Real Estate Broker, she owned Mountain Valley Real Estate, the Victorian Restaurant, and worked as a tour director for Lassen Transit.
