John Baird RogersThe plot of Skins and Bone is informed by my background as chief financial officer of a public company. I have published one short story; another, New Orleans Purgatorio, was shortlisted for the 2015 William Faulkner - William Wisdom prize. I studiedcreative writing as an undergraduate at Dartmouth College, at The Loft (Minneapolis) and at the Cape Cod Writers Conference. I am a member of three critique groups and an affiliate member of the MWA and Sisters in Crime. My career has included finance positions in the United States, responsibilities in Europe, and two biotech startups. I studied English Literature and writing at Dartmouth College, where I graduated with Distinction in English. After a career in finance, mostly in technology (electronics manufacturing) in the US and Europe, I started two small biotechnology companies based on genetic discovery and analysis.
