Dr. John F. Taylor is a nationally recognized expert on ADHD and a pioneering voice in the field of child psychology. With decades of experience as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Taylor has dedicated his career to understanding and supportingchildren with ADHD and their families. Early in his professional journey, he collaborated with one of the first psychiatrists in the United States who prescribed medication for hyperactive children, marking the beginning of a lifelong commitment to advancing ADHD treatment and education.

As both a professional and a parent of eight children—three of whom faced ADHD-related challenges—Dr. Taylor brings deep personal and clinical insight to his work. His bestselling resources, including The Hyperactive Childand the Family and Helping Your ADD Child, broke new ground by introducing concepts and strategies that had not previously appeared in parent-focused literature on ADHD.
