He had a successful career in advertising as a writer/producer for J. Walter Thompson. John wrote lays and even an award-winning musical that appeared on Broadway. He suffered a debilitating cervical cord tumor and botched surgeries causing him constant pain, but continued his creative career with his company, BeemWorks.
