John M. Miller
Dr John M. Miller is founder of the company J-N-J Miller Design Services PLC, where he is principal engineer. Previously he was a member of the technical staff at Texas Instruments, Dallas, from 1976 to 1980. He later joined Ford Motor Company Resarch in 1983 to work on electric and hybrid vehicle programs. Dr Miller became an Adjunct Professor at Michigan State University in 1998 and an Adjunct Professor at Texas AandM University in 2002. He is currently outside representative on the MIT-Industry Consortium on Advanced Automotive Electrical and Electronic Systems and Components. He is the holder of 39 US patents and has authored more than 100 publications on automotive electrical and electronic systems. He received best paper awards from IEEE Vehicular Technology Society and most outstanding paper from IEEE and SAE Convergence 2000. Dr Miller is a Fellow of IEEE and is the recipient of the Henry Ford Technology Award for the development of the starteralternator system for hybrid vehicles, and recipient of IEEE's Third Millenium Medal. He has been a registered professional engineer in Michigan since 1980.
