John Morton
John Morton is a writer and director for stage, film and television.
His first comedy People Like Us began life on BBC Radio 4 and transferred to BBC2. The series won the Royal Television Society Award for Best Comedy and the Silvr Rose for Comedy at the Montreux Television Festival, as well as being nominated for a BAFTA, a British Comedy Award and a South Bank Show Award.
He created, wrote and directed the comedy series Twenty Twelve, first broadcast on BBC4 and BBC2 in 2011, with a second series following in 2012. His BAFTA award-winning comedy W1A ran for three critically acclaimed series.
His debut stage play, Eclipse, was premiered at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2026.
