John S. Thompson
John S. Thompson is a professor at the School of Engineering in the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He leads UK research projects that study new concepts for fifth-generation wireless communications. He specializes in antenna array procesing, cooperative communications systems, and energy-efficient wireless communications. In January 2016, he was elevated to the Fellow of the IEEE for contributions to antenna arrays and multi-hop communications.
