Joseph Provey is the former editor-in-chief of Family Handyman, Mechanix Illustrated/Home Mechanix, and Practical Homeowner magazines. He has authored several home improvement books, including the Creatve Homeowner titles Outdoor Kitchens, Toro Expert Guide to Lawns, Design Ideas for Flooring, and Successful Container Gardening as well as many articles for national home and garden magazines. Provey began his career as a carpenter and now lives in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
