After the attacks of 9/11, Joy transferred to the Fort Lauderdale Airport with the Browar Sheriff’s Office to focus on the safety of air travelers. She also assisted in the aftermath of the 2017 mass shooting at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. She has saved many lives over the course of her career.
