She spent most of her career working in East Anglia where she was employed by Suffolk County Council as an Archaeological Officer, specialising in the Roman period. During this time she directed excavtions (including the Roman temple site reported in Appendix 1 of this volume), recorded finds made by members of the public and monitored planning applications. In recent years she has contributed to the ‘Lordship and Landscape in East Anglia AD 400-800’ project funded by the Leverhulme Trust. She is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London.
