Judith FersterJudith Ferster, born in Cleveland, Ohio, came to North Carolina in 1985 to take a position as a medievalist in the English Department at North Carolina State University. She previously taught medieval literature, expository writing, and the teaching f writing at Colby College and Brandeis University. At all three schools, she was involved in the the first-year writing programs. Ferster has written two academic books on medieval English literature and a textbook for first-year composition.
