He was President, Indian Political Science Association (IPSA). At present, he is Pofessor, Madhusudan Das Research Chair, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar.Professor Mishra has authored several books and monographs on aspects of international relations, public policy, gender studies and dalit studies.
