Julian WaiteJulian Waite is a performer, playwright, visual artist and academic. He was educated at Oxford University, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and Manchester University, where his PhD thesis was in Overcoming Blocks to Performance. He has written several riginal plays, community plays and novel adaptations. Recent performance work includes extensive street theatre and clowning throughout the UK, video performance for Manchester Art Gallery (website interactive nominated for a BAFTA award) and he has presented performance art both in the UK and abroad. Julian is Senior Lecturer in the Performing Arts at the University of Chester and currently the course leader for the MA Drama. Julian is co-editor with Simon Grennan and Roger Sabin of the first book to celebrate the work of Victorian cartoonist Marie Duval (Myriad 2018). Read More Read Less
