Julie AdamsHerb retired from NASA in 2017 after 42 years of service. He spent most of his career in procurement and business offices at the Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston supporting the Space Shuttle, Space Station, and Orion Programs but also worked at he Kennedy Space Center and NASA Headquarters. His last position was serving as the Manager of the Operations Support Office at JSC which provided support to the Flight Operations Directorate and included support to the Astronaut Office, Mission Control operations, and Aircraft operations. He was awarded NASA's Exceptional Service Medal in May 2010.Herb is currently an officer on the Board of Directors of the NASA Alumni League-JSC. He spends most of his time speaking to students and other groups while volunteering for nonprofit organizations that promote STEM engagement, including the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation and Space Center Houston.
