Julio C. de CarvalhoJúlio C. de Carvalho is a professor of the Graduate Course of Bioprocess Engineering and Biotechnology at UFPR – Brazil. He obtained his PhD from Federal University of Paraná at Curitiba, Brazil in 2004. After joining UFPR in 2006, he has worked mainy with FD&C bioadditives (especially biopigments and lipids), bioprocess modeling, microalgal biotechnology, bio-based chemicals (especially itaconic acid), and engineering education.
