He completed his B.L.I.Sc. with first rank from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, Gujarat, He completed his M.L.I.Sc. with first rank From Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujarat and obtained his M.Phil (Library Science) with first rank and Ph.D (Library Science) degree from S.P.University, Vallabh Vidhyanagar, Gujarat. He has obtained M.Com. degree from Garda College, Navsari, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat Gujarat. Dr.Tandel has 15 years of experience in Library and Information Science area and presented many paper in seminars/conferences. He has participated in several workshops and training programmes too.
