Karen ParlesKaren Parles, MLS, is a lung cancer survivor and the editor of Lung Cancer Online (www.lungcanceronline.org), a comprehensive directory of lung cancer information and resources for patients and their families. She is a colist-owner of LUNG-ONC, an onine patient support group of the Association of Cancer Online Resources (ACOR). Ms. Parles's extensive advocacy efforts have involved work with the National Cancer Institute, the Alliance for Lung Cancer Advocacy, Support and Education (ALCASE), Cancer Care, and the New York Early Lung Cancer Action Program.
