Kathleen L WyneKathleen L. Wyne, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas. She is actively involved in basic science and clinical research, and her main esearch interests include the role of lipid metabolism in the etiology of diabetes and genetic causes of beta cell defects. In 1999 she received a Career Development Award from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, and in 2000 she received a research grant from the same organization.
