Kathryn B WalkerKathryn B. Walker was born January 18, 1921, in Checota, Oklahoma. She graduated from high school in Alpine, Texas, and married her high school sweetheart, J. C. Walker, in 1941. She opened a beauty salon in her home while raising three young daughtes.In 1957, she obtained her teaching degree from Sul Ross State College. She was teaching school and working toward her master's degree when her fourth daughter was born.
