Her first book of poems, Sunday at the Skin Launderette, won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection, and her stories have appeared in magazines and been broadcast on BBC Radio. She loves riting for children, and even though her daughters don't read picture books anymore, that is still her favourite section of the library.
