Katie Melrose

Katie Melrose lives in Southern California with her husband and scruffy terrier pup. Her love of art and reading was cultivated from a young age by her parents, and after earning a BFA in Illustration she quickly found her path in children’s book llustration. Aside from illustrating books, Katie is an avid reader who finishes more than 100 books each year. Most often, you’ll find her with a stylus in hand, but when she steps away from her desk, she’s in the kitchen cooking up a storm and pretending she’s a chef — her second greatest passion after illustration.
