Kelli MartinKelli Martin was born in a small town, just north of Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1993, she moved to Texas for a third grade teaching position. She has worked in public education for twent-three years. She has won numerous awards for her teaching, including being named Teacher of the Year in 2014, being selected as a statewide semifinalist in the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards in 2007, and being selected to Who's Who Among America's Teachers in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
