Kemba HubbardKemba Hubbard was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. Her mission is to minister hope to children and families. She has spent over 25 years serving children and families as a teacher, school-community liaison, student service advisor, school psychologis, and family engagement specialist. Kemba's love for and interest in children have guided her in writing children's books. In this, her second children's book, Kemba draws upon her life experience as a biracial child and young adult. Growing up in a home with a Black father and Caucasian mother, Kemba gained a rich cultural experience, which taught her that people are really more alike than different. Her goal for participating in the Marion, Ohio Peace and Freedom "Marion Looks Like Me Project" is to encourage children to walk out purpose and resist the limits of labels and categories.
