Kendall D NixonBorn in Brooklyn, NY in May 1989, Nixon spent his childhood and early teens moving throughout the East Coast of the United States, constantly adapting to new cities, schools, and cultures. As a first-generation American, he was exposed to a wide rang of perspectives that deeply influenced his storytelling. "Writing has always been my creative outlet, but early on I was discouraged from pursuing it. Instead, I turned to music, writing and recording songs throughout my teens and early twenties."In 2010, after being dismissed from Anna Maria College due to lack of tuition funds and a brief period of homelessness, he joined the U.S. Army as a Scout in the 82nd Airborne Division. His military service introduced him to people and places that would later shape his writing. After the Army, he lived an unconventional life as a cowboy, working on ranches across the U.S. and exploring small-town America. Before pivoting to a corporate career, he once again faced homelessness-eventually finding his start at a Big Four bank in August 2018.Despite climbing the corporate ladder, a series of personal and professional challenges left him unemployed for 18 months. In November 2024, he traveled to Malmö, Sweden, and shortly after, the inspiration for The Everborn Chronicles was born. His work is rooted in dark, introspective storytelling, layered mystery, and interconnected plots driven by complex characters. He specializes in grounded, character-driven fiction rooted in the real world, layered with myth and supernatural tension.Beyond The Everborn Chronicles, the author is also working on The Choices We Make: A Short Story Collection-a literary project inspired by his journey through struggle, trauma, and triumph. The collection explores real-life hardships, quiet horrors, and the power of choice. In addition to writing, he is developing the screenplay for a TV adaptation. He is also the founder of House of NIXON, a veteran-owned creative studio and storytelling press dedicated to building bold, cinematic narratives across mediums and platforms. While he continues to divide his time between the United States and Europe, he currently spends most of his year in Malmö, Sweden, where he's exploring the city's creative scene and its ties to Copenhagen's film culture. His recent work has begun to reflect the visual restraint and psychological depth found in Nordic Noir. Read More Read Less
