Kim KarkosKimberly Karkos was awarded a bachelor's degree in early child development and family relations from the University of Connecticut and a master's degree in early childhood education from St. Joseph College in Connecticut. She received a director's Adinistrative Credential from the National Institute of Childcare Management in 2004. She has been an administrator for various early childhood programs for over 35 years. Ms. Karkos currently serves as the Director of Oxnard College Child Development Center and is on the Child Development faculty. She has directed a university early childhood education center and has developed and conducted various training programs; workshops; and courses for child-care staff, family day-care providers, and parents. She belongs to the National Association for the Education of Young Children and is an active participant in the Ventura County Child Care Planning Council and several other community boards.
