Kirk BlackardKirk Blackard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He is retired from a career with Shell Oil Company, where he held several senior exeutive positions in Houston and London. He has extensive conflict management and negotiation experience, has worked as a mediator and arbitrator, and served as chairman of the Board of the Bridges To Life restorative justice ministry that works in prisons to help victims heal their wounds and inmates change their lives. He is the author of Restoring Peace, the centerpiece of the BTL curriculum, and eleven other books. Kirk and Marcia, his wife of fifty-three years, live in Houston.
