Kit WrightKit Wright was born in 1944. He obtained a scholarship to Oxford and then worked as a lecturer in Canada. On his return to England he worked for the Poetry Society. Now a full-time writer he is the author of over twenty-five books, for both adults an children, and has won many awards, including the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize, an Arts Council Writers' Award, the Hawthornden Prize, the Alice Hunt Bartlett Award and (jointly) the Heinemann Award.
